Plastic surgery has always had quite a strong foundation in places like Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and Calabasas. Despite its large market in such areas, the residents don’t always like to admit when they undergo cosmetic procedures.
Celebrities are always in the spotlight, which leads to a lot of speculation over bodily changes of all sorts. People are always quick to call out whether a celebrity looks like they got a nose job or a boob job, and often times celebrities are stubborn when it comes to admitting it. We’re all used to celebrities doing what they can to hide their surgeries, avoid the topic, or flat out deny it. Sometimes we don’t need a celebrity’s explicit confirmation that they got something done, like Nicki Minaj and her butt.
With plastic surgery becoming increasingly more popular, people are more adept to identifying cosmetic changes and more interested in seeing its results. Plastic surgery in general has become way more commonplace throughout the past decade. Likewise, celebrities are growing more comfortable with their procedures and many feel comfortable enough to be public about them.
Here are 6 notable instances of celebrities going public about their procedures:
1. Farrah Abraham
The reality star from the MTV show ‘Teen Mom’ was quick to undergo plastic surgery as a celebrity. Since starring in 16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom in 2009 Farrah has been more than open about getting a boob job, a nose job, a chin implant, and then another boob job. Farrah certainly hasn’t been shy about her body and it’s many changes as a celebrity.
2. Kris Jenner
The whole Kardashian-Jenner family is no stranger to cosmetic surgery, but for a list of celebrities who don’t mind it being a public matter without any hesitation, Kris Jenner is the most notable from the family. The mother of the family has made her two breast augmentations and her facelift public on their reality TV show.
3. Dolly Parton
Like the Kardashians, Dolly Parton is certainly no stranger to plastic surgery. At 67 years old, Dolly Parton certainly looks different than she normally would have due to many, many surgeries. She has had no problem admitting to her surgeries throughout her years as she’s admitted to surgeries such as breast augmentation, eyebrow lifts, eyelid lift, facelift, neck lift, chin augmentation, and a significant nose job.
4. Heidi Montag
Another reality star, famous for her role on The Hills, Heidi had one of the more extreme instances of undergoing plastic surgery and she certainly wasn’t hiding it. Heidi underwent 10 plastic surgeries in a single day. She got her brows lifted, nose reshaped, ears pinned, chin shaved down, two breast enlargements, back scooped out, fat injected into her cheekbones, and lipo on her inner and outer thighs. She was and still is open to talk about her experience and the aftermath of her procedures.
5. Tara Reid
Tara Reid, the famous actress from the American Pie movies, is one of the more infamous cases of plastic surgery as her procedures went very bad. She underwent a boob job, but due to complications and a sub-par plastic surgeon her new boobs did not come out too well and left her with saggy boobs, deformed nipples, and ripply/bulgy skin extending down to her stomach. She had her boob job along with a liposuction procedure corrected in 2006, and now she’s very open about her nightmarish experience with plastic surgery.
6. Jamie Lee Curtis
The famous actress from films like Halloween and True Lies has gotten her fair share of plastic surgery. As she’s not hesitant to admit, she’s said she’s tried everything at the plastic surgeon’s office. From larger procedures like liposuction to fillers and injections, she’s dabbled in it all. She’s also very open about how dissatisfied she is with all of her procedures, saying none of them work.
At the end of the day, not every celebrity is hiding something and not every celebrity needs to be public about their procedures. There are plenty of celebrities who are comfortable with being public about their procedures and others who are not. Celebrities with plastic surgery are growing more comfortable being public, but there will always be some who would rather keep it to themselves.
